President Shirley Ann Jackson, Ph.D., has recently appointed Dr. Paul Marthers as the new Vice President for Enrollment. Dr. Marthers has been Dean of Admission at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, since 2002. Dr. Marthers has more than twenty-five years of experience in higher and secondary education. In 2007, The Chronicle of Higher Education selected him as one of "10 admission deans who are shaping their field."

Candidates of greatest interest will be experienced in the development and implementation of innovative financial aid strategies in a high application volume higher education setting, and a demonstrated ability to build a strategic financial aid organization that is committed to helping Rensselaer enroll the strongest students while providing superior customer service to Rensselaer's students and parents.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of directly related experience, including management of staff, strong knowledge of federal, state, institutional and local sources of financial aid and of federal regulations and new developments in Title IV programs, and a knowledge of current financial aid trends, including leveraging to achieve optimal tuition revenue.
