As a Business Analysis and Reporting Analyst in the Global Fee Billing group, you will become a point of contact for internal and in some cases external clients, Technology, and our vendors with respect to the day-to-day operations within the Business Unit. You will make recommendations governing the setup or modification of billing relationships, analyze and resolve internal and external queries pertaining to the Billing system and processes, and you may be required to document and execute small-scale projects or test initiatives and execute to those plans. You will become recognized as a subject matter expert in the line of business application.
The areas of focus will be the day-to-day operations functions associated with the input, processing, and output of the Advantage Billing application, including the processing of imports and setup of billing rules within the application.
You will be responsible for the following:
* Anticipating risks and opportunities, analyzing them, and presenting effective ways of mitigating the risks and opportunities
* Performing quality assurance checks against the Advantage imports
* Documenting and creating Billing activities and the additional components necessary to create the billing rules governing existing and products and services
* Participating in and sometimes leading test initiatives within the Line of Business
* Accomplish project tasks undertaken by Billing in-line with your key competencies and job responsibilities
* May be required to deliver training to our internal and external clients utilizing the Advantage application, Billing website, and presentation tools such as Sametime Meeting and Microsoft PowerPoint
* Frequently required to pull, format/manipulate, and analyze data for reporting or issue resolution purposes
* Interact with users to determine system problems and provide support in the remediation efforts to address those problems
Job Requirements: Within the Business Analysis and Reporting Specialist role, an individual will have roles and responsibilities inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
* Execution of daily tasks, including the generation of daily exports and reports
* Monthly tasks associated with Financial month-end posting
* Performing quality assurance checks against the Advantage imports
* Documenting and creating Billing activities and the additional components necessary to create the billing rules governing existing and products and services
* Participating in and sometimes leading test initiatives within the Line of Business
* Interact with users to determine system problems and provide support in the remediation efforts to address those problems
* Anticipate risks and opportunities, perform the analysis required, and present to management effective ways of mitigating the risks and/or leveraging the opportunities to the benefit of the department

Requirements |
Skills:
Technical:
* In-depth understanding of the primary business application, Advantage Fee Bill, is desired
* Understanding of the up and downstream business applications utilized in WSS - Valued Holdings, TITAN, COSMIC, SAP, MERIT
* Familiarity with general accounting principles or general ledger processing
* Familiarity with database design principles
* Strong organization skills - ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple streams of work required
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access (a plus)
* SQL Query or MS-Access query experience
* Excellent analytical and issue resolution skills with the ability to collect data, identify issues, and make recommendations to address the issues
* Previous Systems/QA/UAT Test documentation and execution a plus
* Vendor management experience a plus
* Self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision

Experience:
* A 4-year college degree in MIS, Business Systems, Operations or Business Management, or Finance desired
* 3+ years experience in Securities and/or Banking Operations, Technology, Quality Assurance, or Testing
* Previous experience within Securities Operations or Custody Operations is a plus
Location: Dallas, TX
Work Hours: 40 hours, with overtime required as and when necessary
